Birmingham let slip a 2 goal lead as their relegation worries get worse.Liverpool with there big game on Wednesday made 9 changes to their team.In the early stages there wasn’t rally many chances created but Birmingham started to take the game to Liverpool as they tried to put some urgency into the game.Kapo showed some fantastic skill but he put in a cross which missed everyone when he could have put it into the penalty box better.It was James McFadden who showed him what he should have done when he created his own space when he got pass Riise & crossed into the box which Forssell controlled the ball on his chest & fired in a shot & straight into the goal.Liverpool did get a chance just before half time when Peter Crouch fired in a low long range shot which had the Birmingham keeper Maik Taylor having to scramble to his right to make the save. Liverpool came out in the second half trying to raise there game & trying to take it to Birmingham.but they really didn’t have any cutting edge or any creativity to brake down the home side defence but they had creativity in McFadden when he made Birmingham’s second goal he showed some skill but was brought down my Skrtel.Larsson then stepped up & curled a great free kick into the goal but it had a bit of controversy as Jaidi stood right in front of the Liverpool keeper which was putting him off & maybe obstructing him.As the game carried on Birmingham got a bit nervious & even more so when Jermaine Pennant done some good work & passed to Peter Crouch who side footed it into the net.The away side then started to get onto Birmingham as they were trying to keep this lead they had made but they were close to losing it when Voronin & Benayoun went very close. Pennant started to bring his influence into the football match whit all his skill & it Finaly paid off when Benayoun headed in a equaliser after it had deflected of Jaidi & leave Birmingham in the relegation zone.
